What this is
Irish Pay Calculator is an independent, free set of calculators covering take-home pay, statutory redundancy and self-employed tax for Ireland, built on 2026 Revenue.ie, gov.ie and Workplace Relations Commission figures. Nothing you enter is sent to a server — every calculation runs in your browser.
How we verify the figures
- Identify the exact figure from the primary source (Revenue.ie for PAYE/USC/PRSI bands and credits, gov.ie/Dept. of Social Protection for PRSI rates and the redundancy weekly cap, the Workplace Relations Commission for the statutory redundancy formula).
- Transcribe the exact figure — no rounding beyond what the source itself uses.
- Run a worked test scenario against the figure to confirm the calculator output matches a manual calculation.
- Log the verification date, shown in the changelog and in each page's methodology section.
What this calculator does not cover
- Married two-income households (only single and married-one-income filing status are modelled).
- The PRSI tapered credit that applies just above the €352/week threshold.
- Reduced USC rates for medical card holders and people aged 70+.
- Enhanced (ex-gratia) redundancy payments above the statutory minimum, or their tax treatment.
- Preliminary tax timing, capital allowances or flat-rate expenses for the self-employed.
We do not employ or claim review by a licensed accountant or tax advisor. For anything beyond a quick estimate, consult Revenue.ie directly or a qualified professional.
